Why TemperatureSpy? flashing LED

TemperatureSpy serves as a proactive reminder to check engine temperatures, an essential task that can easily be overlooked in high workload situations. By prompting timely attention, it helps interrupt the mishap chain before it begins.

Ideal for training aircraft, TemperatureSpy reinforces good engine management habits. It’s not a primary instrument, but a smart device that encourages pilots to stay alert without adding distraction.

The concept was born from the experience of a flight instructor who, prior to fitting TemperatureSpy, found himself constantly reminding students to monitor engine temperatures, especially during high workload phases like climb-out or post-start checks. He was also concerned that renters or solo students might not exercise the same vigilance, lacking either the experience or the prompting presence of an instructor. TemperatureSpy was designed to bridge that gap: a subtle, intelligent nudge that promotes consistent engine care across all levels of pilot experience.
